Pay Per Month

Get a predictable bill each month—no surprises and no bank-breaking bills in the winter months. With Convenience Pay*, you'll be able to spread the cost of your annual propane usage into twelve monthly payments, which are recalculated every three months so you're never dealing with huge spikes or end of year settle-ups. Simply choose the convenience pay option when you get a quote, or look for it in your myAmeriGas account!

*Convenience Pay enrollment requires a soft credit check.

Delivery scale

Pay Per Delivery

With our Pay Per Delivery option, you'll pay at once for your fill-up and enjoy fewer bills throughout the year. Payments can be made in advance of your delivery without any credit terms, or a soft credit check allows you to schedule your delivery and be billed for it. For added convenience, you can pay online for your propane delivery in your myAmeriGas online account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there installation or setup fees for new customers?

Installation costs vary by the type of installation, the required amount of work and geography. The average cost for a customer-owned tank is $69.99 for the Service Dispatch Fee. The average cost for a standard installation or swap-out of an above ground tank is $250. There are additional costs if the tank needs to be buried or if additional work on gas lines needs to occur. Discounts may be available by location or promotion.

Do all of the payment plans require a credit check?

Customers who prefer to pay in advance of their delivery do not need credit terms, and are not required to have their credit checked. Credit terms are required only if you will receive your delivery before you make your payment. For that reason, monthly payments through Convenience Pay and Pay per Delivery where you will receive a bill afterwards, will require credit terms and a soft credit check. Regardless of credit, all customers can take advantage of new customer pricing. These options are detailed as you go through the online quote system.

Do you take payment assistance?

AmeriGas typically accepts energy assistance payments. If you receive energy assistance, please notify your local AmeriGas office. Proof of assistance is required to be provided by any organization providing payment assistance. For your convenience, we've included information below regarding LIHEAP and 211 that may be helpful.

The purpose of LIHEAP is to assist households with low incomes, particularly those with the lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of household income for home energy, primarily in meeting their immediate home energy needs. https://liheappm.acf.hhs.gov/navigator

  • The LIHEAP Portal includes contact numbers by state as well as a helpful “LIHEAP Q&A for Consumers”.

211 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages and from all communities to the essential health and human services they need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 211 can be accessed by phone or computer.

Do you offer fixed-price programs?

New customers typically benefit from low first year pricing, which includes a low first-fill price. Fixed price programs may be available by promotion or in certain locations. If  you are interested in learning about fixed-price program options, you may call 1-800-AmeriGas (1-800-263-7442) for additional information. Enrollment fees may apply.

How do I change my current payment plan?

Existing customers may be able to make changes to their payment plan online by logging into their MyAmeriGas.com account. For additional help, please call 1-800-AmeriGas (1-800-263-7442).

How do I pay my bill?

We accept payments by check, money order, credit card, debit/bank card and eCheck. We do not accept cash payments. All major credit cards are accepted including MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

See below for several convenient options available for bill pay. Please note our drivers do not accept payments at delivery locations. 

Pay Online: Whether paying in advance or upon delivery, you can make a payment online anytime with no convenience fees at www.myamerigas.com. Select My Account to enroll.

  • Pay with a credit or debit card (no gift cards)
  • Pay via a checking or savings account

Pay by Mail: Checks and Money Orders may be mailed directly to the address on the remit portion of the invoice with the envelope provided with your invoice. If you do not have your invoice or are paying in advance, remember to include your AmeriGas account number on your check/money order and mail to:

Pay by Phone: Pay your bill using our automated phone system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 800-427-4968 and select option #2 for payments. 

Pay via Online Banking: Log onto your bank’s website and schedule payments to AmeriGas. Contact your bank for assistance.
