AmeriGas’ mobile version of AmeriGas.com features an enhanced location finder, job postings, information about the company and contact information. “We recognize that the needs of the mobile user are different” says Michael Drauschak, Senior Manager of Marketing Communications. “The mobile site offers the essentials frequently sought by mobile users and is making doing business with AmeriGas easy.”
The mobile site is optimized for smartphones with iPhone iOS 3.1.3 or above, Android 2.1 or above or Blackberry OS 6.0 or above. AmeriGas.com automatically recognizes when a smartphone user is visiting and defaults to the mobile site.
The mobile site’s location finder pinpoints AmeriGas offices, cylinder exchange, 24/7 cylinder exchange and cylinder refill locations either by using GPS technology to find the locations nearest to the mobile device or by entering a zip code of a different location. Users can select from the results populated on a Google map or from a list view.
Mobile visitors can easily provide customer feedback or address an issue, request more information about becoming a customer or find AmeriGas’ emergency contact number using the mobile site’s contact screens.
There is also a button on the mobile site that links directly to the “full version” of the AmeriGas.com website.
The career center allows users to view job openings across the country and email the postings to themselves or friends.
