Terms and Conditions
AmeriGas Propane, L.P. (“AmeriGas”, “we”, “our” or “us”) operates a School Days Program (the "Program"), whereby AmeriGas will donate $.02 per gallon, up to a cap of $2,000, of propane purchased by eligible and enrolled residential AmeriGas customers (“Customer”) on an annual basis to eligible and enrolled K-12 Schools (“School”) in accordance with the below Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Customer and School may be referred to as “you” or “your”.

BY CLICKING “I ACCEPT,” OR REGISTERING FOR AN ACCOUNT, ACCESSING, BROWSING, OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, AND/OR THE AMERIGAS SCHOOL DAYS WEBSITE(S), CUSTOMER OR SCHOOL ACKNOWLEDGES THAT CUSTOMER OR SCHOOL HAS READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING THE AMERIGAS PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF USE, AS WELL AS ANY ADDITIONAL TERMS OR FUTURE MODIFICATIONS.
We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time without notice. Please check back often to ensure you are aware of any updates or changes to these Terms. Your use of the Program website, and/or participation in the Program indicates acceptance of all terms.
School Days Overview
How to Earn Cash for an Eligible School
The School Days Program runs from 9/1 – 8/31 annually (“Program Period”). In order to participate in the Program, both Customer and the School must be eligible and enrolled in the Program.
Eligible Schools must register for the Program by filling out the form located on the AmeriGas website, here: School Registration Form. If a School representative registers for the Program on behalf of a School, such individual certifies you are an authorized representative of that School with the authority to bind such School to these Terms; and agree to be bound by these Terms on behalf of such School.
Eligible residential AmeriGas customers can register their AmeriGas account for Program participation on the AmeriGas website, here: AmeriGas Account Registration Form. During registration, Customer will choose which eligible, enrolled School Customer would like AmeriGas to donate their eligible gallon earnings to at the end of the Program Period (“Linked Account”).
Once both Customer and School are enrolled, AmeriGas will track Customer’s propane gallons purchased during the Program Period. At the end of the Program Period, AmeriGas will calculate the total gallons purchased during the Program Period from each Linked Account connected to the School and will donate $.02¢ for each gallon purchased from those Linked Accounts during the Program Period, up to $2,000 per School. Gallon calculations will be based on gallons billed to the Linked Account during the Program Period (gallons delivered during the Program Period but not yet billed will not count towards the annual total).
School Eligibility
The School Days Program is open to the following types of K-12 schools, provided that these schools (i) are organized and operated primarily for educational purposes, (ii) provide classes to a regularly enrolled body of students in one or more grades from kindergarten through twelfth grade, and (iii) maintain a regular faculty and curriculum that emphasizes foundation skills such as reading, writing and mathematics:
- Public schools in the United States;
- Private or parochial schools in the United States that qualify as 501(c)(3) educational organizations under the Internal Revenue Code;
- Schools operated by, or on behalf of, the U.S. military in the United States.
School eligibility will be determined by AmeriGas in its sole discretion. AmeriGas reserves the right to conduct its own research and/or request documentation (including without limitation proof of 501(c)(3) status and tax identification numbers) to verify eligibility for participation in the School Days Program. AmeriGas may deny participation in the Program for failure to meet any of the verification or eligibility requirements, in its sole discretion.
Both Customer and School will need to re-enroll in the Program before each Program Period. Enrollment in the Program will not automatically renew from year to year.
School Publicity Release
By participating in the School Days Program, School grants publicity rights to AmeriGas to use the School’s earnings information and identifying information, including name and city, in promotional and marketing materials in all forms of media, in perpetuity.
Your Eligibility
You must be a current AmeriGas residential customer and be at least eighteen (18) years old, the age of majority in your state, and a legal resident of the United States of America to participate in the Program. By agreeing to the Terms, you represent and warrant to us: (i) that you have not previously been suspended, removed or deactivated from the School Days Program and (ii) that your registration and your use of the School Days Program is in compliance with any and all applicable laws and regulations and (iii) you have only one registered School Days account per AmeriGas account.
Maximum Annual Earning Amount
Each eligible, enrolled School participating in the School Days Program may earn up to, but not more than, $2,000 cash per Program Period (beginning on September 1 of every year and running through August 31 of the following year) from the School Days Program.
Program Restrictions
AmeriGas reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or remove any Customer or School from the School Days Program if AmeriGas determines, in its sole discretion, such Customer or School has violated these Terms or acted fraudulently in any manner. Participation in the Program constitutes Customer’s and School’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and the decisions of the AmeriGas, which are final and binding.
Program Changes
AmeriGas, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel without obligation, or alter the terms of, the School Days Program at any time.
Payments to Eligible, Enrolled Schools
To receive payment from Program participation, schools must be enrolled and approved by AmeriGas, in its sole discretion. If a Customer’s designated School is determined to be ineligible in the Program, any earnings submitted or earned on behalf of that School will be deemed invalid. Prior to distribution to Schools, all earnings shall remain the sole property of AmeriGas. Customer and School have no property rights or other legal interest in the earnings for any purpose. Checks will be made payable to the designated School; however they can be made payable to a school Home and School Board or Parent Teacher Organization (along with the school name) if specifically requested by the School upon enrollment. Payments made to Schools are not tax-deductible by schools, participants, or purchasers. Payments will be made once each year; checks will be mailed to the eligible School within ninety (90) days of August 31 each year. Each payment will include amounts earned by Schools from each Linked Account, up to the $2,000 cap. If a School fails to cash any School Days Program check within 18 months of issuance, then the School shall forfeit its right to receive such payment. AmeriGas will not replace checks requested more than 18 months after the original check was issued. AmeriGas is solely responsible for calculating the amounts due to each School and has the sole right to make the final determination of amounts earned per School.
General
The AmeriGas Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are expressly incorporated herein by reference and made a part of these Terms.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference herein, constitute the entire and exclusive understanding and agreement between you and AmeriGas regarding your use of and access to the Program, its applications, features, and services.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL AMERIGAS BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER A CLAIM OR REMEDY IS SOUGHT IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE.
This Program is void where prohibited and cannot be redeemed for cash.
