This marinade is working overtime in the flavor department, with spicy habanero chile balancing perfectly with sweet orange. This versatile mixture makes an amazing marinade and sauce, so we suggest using half to marinate your chicken (or your favorite protein) and veggies, and reserving half to drizzle over top of your grilled masterpiece.
- 1 habanero chile, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- ½ cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 tbsp. vinegar
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Mix habanero chile, garlic, orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and olive oil in a bowl. Set half aside for topping.
- Add protein of choice (we chose chicken!) and marinade for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill to appropriate temperature, then drizzle with remaining marinade before serving and enjoy!
