Guaranteed Pricing Program FAQ
Convenience Pay spreads your annual propane cost into 12 equal monthly payments — so instead of a small summer bill and a bank-breaking January bill, you pay a predictable amount every month. Payments are recalculated every three months based on your actual usage, so you stay on track without any end-of-year catch-up. Convenience Pay works alongside both AmeriLock and Pre-Buy. Select it when you get your quote or add it through your MyAmeriGas account. Note: enrollment requires a soft credit check.
Contact your AmeriGas account team to discuss your options. Enrollment fees are non-refundable once your contract term begins. For Pre-Buy, unused gallon balances may be subject to terms outlined in your agreement.
Your price is set by AmeriGas Pricing and takes into account your annual usage history, tank size, service location, and current market conditions. New enrollment prices are individualized — call or log in to get your specific rate.
AmeriLock customers enrolled in paperless billing before their contract starts receive a $20 discount on the annual enrollment fee — $99 instead of $119. You can enroll in paperless billing through your MyAmeriGas account. Note: switching to paperless after your contract term begins won't apply the discount until the following year.
Yes. AmeriLock automatically renews each June for the new contract term (except in Connecticut). You'll receive your new price on your June or July billing statement. If you'd like to opt out of renewal, contact AmeriGas before your renewal date. Pre-Buy does not auto-renew — you must call to re-enroll each season.
New enrollments are open through October 31, 2026. However, summer is the ideal time to lock in — you'll have the full heating season covered and prices are typically more favorable before winter demand sets in.
Yes. New AmeriGas customers can enroll in AmeriLock. A multi-year offer is available that locks in your rate beyond the first season. Ask your enrollment agent about the new customer AmeriLock pricing when you call.
