Terms & Conditions for Above Ground Tanks Common Billing and Fee Terms APP&S Parts & Fittings - Cost for parts and fittings used in the installation, repair or replacement of equipment. (APP&S = AmeriGas Propane Parts & Service). APP&S Service Labor - Cost of service labor for the installation, repair, or replacement of propane equipment. APP&S Termination Fee - This fee covers the labor required to shut off and/or remove the AmeriGas tank at the location and any other costs incurred to terminate service. AmeriGuard* is an optional program where an AmeriGas customer receives a fixed price for a fixed period of time during which the customer is placed on a convenient monthly payment plan. AmeriLock* is an optional program where an AmeriGas customer receives a fixed price for the term of the AmeriLock contract. Due Date - The date when late charges will be assessed if payment is not received is shown on the front of this invoice/statement under Account Information. ** Final ** - Indicates that this is your final invoice upon closing your account with AmeriGas. Fuel Recovery Fee is designed to offset the significant increases experienced by AmeriGas in the cost of diesel and gasoline used to fuel its fleet of commercial motor vehicles. The current fee is $5.94. HazMat & Safety Compliance Fee covers a portion of the cost AmeriGas must expend in order to comply with federal, state and local government regulations concerning hazardous materials, homeland security, emergency preparedness and workplace safety. It is also used to fund, among other things, vital employee safety training, cylinder requalification, safety inspections and environmental compliance. The Fee is not government imposed or paid over to any government agency. The current fee is $5.45. Invoice Date - The date the invoice was generated and mailed. Late Fees are assessed when a customer does not pay the AmeriGas bill within the credit terms established and is designed to recover collection and related costs incurred by AmeriGas. The current fee is $22.00. LineGard (Line Protection Plan) is an optional program. Under the LineGard program covered repairs are made to customer-owned lines if necessary. New applicants must sign an agreement and their lines are subject to inspection prior to enrollment in the program. Payment Protection* is an optional program for residential customers enrolled in AmeriGuard or SmartPay. Applicants pay an annual fee to have AmeriGas pay the remainder of their monthly payments for the term in the event of death to the primary account holder (and joint account holder if applicable). Pump-out/Restocking Fee is incurred by a customer who terminates service with propane remaining in the tank in a quantity of more than five percent of the tank’s water capacity. The fee pays for the cost of the labor and equipment incurred in returning the propane remaining in the tank to AmeriGas’s inventory. Pre-Buy* is a program that enables the customer to lock-in the propane price in advance for the customer’s projected winter/annual usage. Service Disconnection Fee is incurred by a customer who terminates service to defray the administrative costs of closing the account and issuing refunds to the customer, if any. SmartPay Budget Plan* is an optional program that allows you to make convenient monthly payments based on your projected annual usage and current market price. Special Trip Fees are incurred by customers who are will call customers and who request immediate deliveries or customers who require non-emergency service after hours or on weekends. Previous Balance - Items billed previously for which AmeriGas has not received payment. Propane - The amount of propane delivered or consumed. Note: This may be a credit if propane was removed from the installation. Service Disconnect Fee - This fee covers the labor required to shut off (disconnect) and/or remove the AmeriGas tank at the location. Settlement Month - For customers on a monthly payment program, the settlement month is the month when we compare the amount you have paid to the amount charged to your account during the plan term for actual usage. If the difference is a credit, we apply the credit to your AmeriGas account. If the difference is a debit, that amount is owed to AmeriGas in your settlement month. Tank Minimum Usage Fee - For customers with an AmeriGas-owned tank who are not subject to tank rent, an annual minimum purchase may be required. Tank Rent is an amount charged to customers who are leasing AmeriGas-Owned Equipment. Taxes - The amount of taxes invoiced, if applicable. By law, taxes are charged if propane and other sales are taxable items in your state. *Programs are subject to change. Certain restrictions apply.
