United Way 2011 Employee Campaign Chairs of the Year: Joe Geeter and Jim Crossan.

AmeriGas Employee Relations Manager Joe Geeter and UGI Risk Analyst Jim Crossan were named the 2011 Employee Campaign Chairs of the Year by the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania (now part of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey) for last year’s successful campaign UGI/AmeriGas headquarters in Valley Forge, PA. Last year’s campaign raised $429,000 for the United Way, including several thousand raised through the special events that make the campaign fun and keep employees engaged in the cause, from casual Fridays to Flower Day.

“Joe and Jim do an outstanding job of leading our United Way Campaign and have done so for many years. They not only help us recognize the importance of supporting the United Way and its mission, but also instill a great deal of fun in doing so,” says UGI Chairman and CEO Lon Greenberg. “Of course, they have been supported over the years by a group of committed individuals at UGI and AmeriGas who serve on the United Way Campaign Committee, and 2011 was no exception. It takes committed leadership to make our campaign the success it has been, and we are thankful that we have both Joe and Jim serving in this role.”
